Sample tour itinerary
Day 1 London to Mumbai
Travel from London or a regional airport on your overnight flight to Mumbai.
Day 2 Mumbai
On arrival in Mumbai our friendly local representatives will be there to greet you and transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day relaxing.
Day 3 Mumbai
This morning enjoy the sights of Mumbai on a city tour and include the Gateway of India - Mumbai's famous monument and is the best starting point for tourist to explore the city. Take a drive up the Malabar Hill to the lovely Hanging Gardens and the Kamla Nehru Park and experience the wonderful view of Mumbai and the Arabian Sea. Optional visit to the Laundry Quarter (Dhobi Ghat) a small museum dedicated to the life and works of Mahatma Gandhi, and the bustling Crawford market.
Day 4 Mumbai - Prune - Mumbai
Today you leave Mumbai and travel 115 miles south-east to Prune situated on the Deccan plateau. The Deccan is a plateau forming the triangular portion of India , below the Tropic of Cancer. Option to visit Kirkee War Cemetery which is the memorial commemorating nearly two thousand soldiers who served and died in India during the 1914-1918 War. Time to have a rest and enjoy a lunch at a local hotel before driving back to Mumbai.
Day 5 Mumbai to Jabalpur
A day at leisure allowing you more time to explore Mumbai on your own before departing early evening on your overnight train journey to Jabalpur arriving the following afternoon.
Day 6 Jabalpur
On arrival in Jabalpur our agents will be there to meet you and transfer you to your hotel for the night. During this evening there is a chance to spend the evening visiting the marble rocks and the Dhuandhar Falls where you can experience an amazing sunset.
Day 7 Jabalpur to Delhi
An enjoyable morning can be spent visiting a colonial residences and barracks marking British Impressions to date. This evening catch your overnight train to Delhi.
Day 8 Delhi
Early morning arrival into Delhi where our local agents will be there to meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon at the hotel or take the opportunity to explore around Old Delhi's monuments, fascinating narrow streets and bustling bazaars.
Day 9 Delhi to Agra
This morning visit Lutyens Delhi or New Delhi covering the imposing India Gate - war memorial, Parliament House, President Palace and Diplomatic Enclave. In the afternoon drive to Agra home of the famous Taj Mahal and Moghul Monuments and stands on the banks of the river.
Day 10 Agra
Spend the day sightseeing in Agra City including the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort.
Day 11 Agra to Jaipur
After breakfast checkout from the hotel and drive to Jaipur city. En route visit Fatehpur Sikri which was one of the capital cities of Emperor Akbar. Later proceed to Jaipur. In the evening you will have dinner at Chowkidhani an ethnic Rajasthan restaurant (payable locally). Overnight at the KK Royal Days for 2 nights.
Day 12 Jaipur
Today you will spend the day in Jaipur in jeeps you will be driven to see the marvelous Amber Palace in jeeps, the city palace and palace of Winds.
Day 13 Jaipur to Delhi
Spend the morning at leisure. After a relaxed lunch drive back to Delhi. The drive is through the dry countryside with colourful gypsy caravans traveling in search of water and grass for their animals.
Day 14 Delhi to London
Spend the morning at leisure until your departure to Delhi Airport for your day flight home to London Heathrow.
